Newport (Essex)

Following the move from Great Chesterford we rented a place in the old Maltings in Newport, just 30 seconds from the (Cambridge bound) railway platform. There we had enough space for any daughters that needed a room and rapid access to work for Caroline – and some lovely walks.

At a particularly stressful time we decided that as we couldn’t sleep we’d go for a walk at 02:30 and try to unwind – the bonus from this was we could see noctilucent clouds and the Comet (visible above the tall tree)
